Once manufactured the first units of SmartVide by Sammic, the new generation of stirrer circulators, it has been a pleasure to give the first units to our friends & chefs Martín Berasategui and Roberto Ruiz.
7-Michelin-star chef Martín Berasategui is known worldwide his restaurant Martín Berasategui in Lasarte, Spain has been awarded 3 Michelin stars since 2001. In this restaurant they have already been working with our current sous-vide cookers and this is where we have given him our new SmartVide8.
Roberto Ruiz started out in the world of the stove thanks to his father. At the age of 16 he started to cook with his dad in a hunting and fishing sociedad (private club), he was captivated by the social aspect of these meals. Afterwards, he went to the Culinary College of Donostia, and what had begun as a hobby ended up his profession. He has worked with Martin Berasategui, in the Valle de Aran, in La Rioja… At the age of 23 he entered the Fronton de Tolosa and since then 20 years have already gone by.
And never two without three, the third unit of our first SmartVide circulator is for our corporate chef Enrique Fleischmann, head chef at Bailara and Txoko Getaria restaurants. He has taken active part in the desigh of SmartVide and it would not be what it is without his contribution.
After this “honorary kick-off”, we are about to launch the production of SmartVide8 and SmartVide8 Plus. And we are very excited about it.
